16DB-10 1895 WINCHESTER #88200Winchester Model 1895 Takedown lever action rifle, .30 GOVT. 1906 cal., serial #88200. The rifle is in very good condition with a 24” round barrel. The barrel retains a significant amount of its thinningblued finish with a Sheard blade front and the two-leaf folding rear sights. The barrel shows light surface erosion, scratches and a loss of finish at the muzzle. A Lyman receiver sight has beenadded. The receiver shows flaking original blue finish with high point edge wear and Winchester proofs on the barrel and the front bridge. The hammer and trigger assembly show dull case colors in theprotected areas. The smooth wood stocks are in good overall condition showing use with dents and compressions noted. The butt stock ends with a checkered metal shotgun butt plate. The bore is very good, the actioncrisp and markings are sharp on this takedown Winchester. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
