Brass framed prototype mechanism model, 2.625” barrel, 6.375 overall, brass frame is 5” overall with Certificate of Authenticity from Little John Gangel dated May 29, 1997, stating “. . . formerly in the ConnecticutState Library collection and part of a group of prototypes and firearms traded by the museum to well-known California historian R. L. Wilson and Ted Hutchinson. This piece, along with other Colt memorabilia whichincluded pieces of Colt’s fence and items belonging to Thuer who invented the Thuer conversion and Colt’s 3rd Model derringer, were auctioned by us sometime in the early 1980’s”. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
