18AR-30 PAIR OF SPANISH PERC.Pair of ornate Spanish officer’s style percussion pistols signed in silver, “Por Yono Beitegay”, made of horseshows in Eibar in 1843 (Translation). Each lock is also signed “En Eibar”. The pair show chiseledhammers with lions and nicely engraved mounts with case colored finish. The barrels are browning and the metal shows original lacquer over the finish. The stocks are plain walnut and checkered at the wrists. Mounted withbelt hooks and rings in the butt. Cannon muzzles with beaded silver ring. 85%-95% bright brown and case hardening. The stocks are very good with minor scratches. The ramrods are missing. Measures 12” overallwith 6 7/8” barrels of .69 caliber smoothbore. Needs T.L.C. and ramrods replaced to be an extraordinary late pair of Spanish percussions.
