This exact revolver is pictured on the cover of the "L.D. Nimschke Firearms Engraver" by R.L. Wilson and was formerly in the Norm Flayderman and Robert Petersen collections. The engraving is deluxe with superb scrolls, ribbons, arrows, and deep cut backgrounds. The metal surfaces are lightly polished and originally silvered. The grips are near fine with most of their original gold gilt. These are authentic 19th century original mission lady and child grips. Thedetail is superb and not to be confused with poor 20th century imitations. All matching serial numbers. Suitable for the most advanced percussion Colt collector or museum and rock solid pedigree.
