18CF-8 CALIFORNIA BOWIE KNIFECalifornia belt knife with clipped point blade, marine ivory grips, silver mounts, and carved original leather scabbard showing spring loaded belt clip for attachment to belt or sash. Measures 10 ¾” overall with a 6 ¼” narrow blade. Heavy grip with finger grooves. The blade is good with minor natural aging and grip is very good with minor age checking and patina. The grip is authentic to the 19th century. The scabbard is fair togood and would be very good except 1 tear and small loss to the back. Unpolished silver. A very high grade knife and absolutely California made in many experts opinions 1855-1870.
