Marlin Model 1881 lever action rifle, .40 caliber, Serial #7179. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 28” octagon barrel with a silver knife blade front and standard rear sights. The barrel and Lot Title full-length magazine retain a significant amount of their muted blue finish with the remainder going to plum patina. The barrel features sharp edges with high point edge wear and small mars noted. The receiver is Lot Title a mixture of grey patina with areas of muted blue finish and features a single set trigger. The lever and hammer show old, toned case hardening and a period Lyman tang sight has been added during the period of Lot Title use. The smooth wood stock is in good condition with mars, compressions and an old coat of varnish added. The butt stock ends with a smooth, steel crescent butt plate. The bore is fair, the markings are sharp and Lot Title action is crisp on this early Model 1881 circa 1884. $600-$1,200. (Antique).

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
