Colt Single Action Army Revolver in .45 L.C. caliber with a 5 ½” barrel, nickel and gold finish, pearl grips, and shipped Jan 16, 1896 to Schoverling, Daly and Gales New York, New York. 1 gun in shipment. Factory letter Lot Title confirms features except sent soft for engraving with rubber grips which is how the Colt Allies ordered single action preferring their own ivory or pearl creating profit. Also a letter from R.L. Wilson states the Lot Title revolver was deluxe embellished through New York dealer Schoverling, Daly and Gales. Approximately 80%-90-% old period nickel finish remains with some minor pitting where the finish is lost. The cylinder and hammer Lot Title show approximately 50%-70% old period gold gilt. The thick pearl grips fit impeccably. The front sight has been slimmed a small amount. Some light polishing. Good action and good bore. Formerly Joe Kiser collection and Lot Title Joe loved gold on the cylinder and hammer. (Antique) Est.: $9,000-$18,000
