1851 Navy Colt Revolver, S/N 54788 with documenting letter from Bill Hickman (The Danite Chief of Utah) stating this Colt was used by Porter Rockwell who murdered twin sons of “The Bishop”. Also rare original copy Lot Title of “Brigham’s Destroying Angel” about Porter Rockwell written by Bill Hickman and Published in 1904. Bill Hickman was a sheriff, marshal, tax collector, and on terms of intimacy with Brigham Young who he later Lot Title testified against. Hickman was at least an accomplice in many crimes he seeks to confess in this book. An original letter dated March 19, 1937 to Kreider (Herman Kreider) from Hickman is included and the pistol has been Lot Title in the descendant’s possession since before the 1930’s. This is a really interesting and hotly contested accounting of violent events surrounding the Mormon Church, Brigham Young and Porter Rockwell. To summarize what is a Lot Title known fact Porter Rockwell and Hickman among others did the “Dirty Work” for Brigham Young.
