18th century miquelet flintlock pistol in very good plus condition signed “Torrento” on the lock and “Dommas” on the barrel. Approximately .70 caliber smoothbore with 6 ¼” two stage barrel with cannon muzzle. Fullstock with belt hook retained. Typical engraving with silver plaque inlaid at wrist and silver cap on brass butt cap along with silver inlay on the trigger guard with engraving portrait of helmeted ancientwarrior. The condition is very good plus to almost fine with 20%-30% blue on the barrel, clean bright polished lock with just minor aging. Exceptional stock with sharp raised carving and just minor imperfections andnormal aging. The ramrod tip and end has been broken off and is missing. All original lock parts including top jaw, hammer, and screw. The action works well. A far above average example of a miquelet with great form.(Antique) Est.: $2000-$4000
