Namibia: The Safari Connection & Jimba Sarfaris - Sean Scott of The Safari Connection & Jimba Safaris are donating a 4-day Namibia White Rhino Vita Dart hunt for two hunters—one White Rhino per hunter. Complete your “Big Five” or get started with a White Rhino Vita Dart in one of the planet’s most remote and wildest places on earth--Namibia! On this 4-day White Rhino vita dart hunt the “hunters” will vita dart a trophy rhino bull or cow and then participate in DNA sampling, blood sampling, inoculation, preg checking, a general health assessment and implanting microchips for tracking and identification. There are few experiences like closing the shooting distance to 20 yards or less to administer the dart. The herd bull weighs over 5000 pounds and just being in his “comfort zone” is hair-raising-- let alone letting him know you are there by shooting him with an air gun! This is one of the most thrilling and blood pressure raising hunts anyone can do and it will be the experience of a lifetime! This is a rare opportunity as there is currently a waiting list for this hunt. This is part of Namibia Sun’s conservation and breeding program for its resident White Rhinoceros population taking place on over 125 square miles of African bush. You will not only be supporting species sustainability and protection of the African Rhino but this hunt is recognized as fully eligible for entry in to the Safari Club Records as your White Rhino “harvest” and you can have a replica made of your Rhino that is an exact 100% reproduction of your trophy down to the inch. Otjiwa started with only a handful White Rhino and has grown the resident herd significantly in just the last few years, with several new rhino expected to join the herd his year. Hunters are the primary source of conservation dollars for this and many other herds. Your participation in our event helps pay for year round anti-poaching efforts which are a significant threat to Africa’s rhinos! This not only a once-in-a lifetime experience but a powerful way to ensure longevity and sustainability of wild game species like the African White Rhino. Hunters will be required to pay the vet, helicopter and insurance fee of $4500 prior to hunt. While in Namibia, you can hunt over 30 game species that roam a 75,000 acres expanse of Kalahari bush which can be added to your package. Among these are some of the country’s largest herds of sable antelope, roan, plains game, waterfowl and leopard. True Namibian hospitality includes privately situated luxury chalets, exotic meals that rival the finest gourmet restaurants. Arrival and departure point is Windhoek, Namibia. Hunt does not include transportation to and from airport (ground transportation $200 each way or by air charter $1,200 each way) and additional hunt days $375 per day. Day trips can be taken to Etosha National Park, Waterberg Plateau nature conservancy and cheetah conservation sanctuary. Side trips to other parks and historic Victoria Falls are easily arranged and highly suggested. Safari Connection and Namibia Sun Hunting Safari will make your experience the hunt of a lifetime and one you will never forget. The hunt can be taken in July 17-31, 2017 at the annual Otjiwa Rhino Week Event which will be covered by SCI and several other sportsmen groups.
