This is a 6 day, hands on trapping experience that includes building and prepping snares, baiting, setting up wolf baits and snare sites, harvesting fur, and skinning and boarding pelts. Animals targeted include wolves, coyote, fisher, marten, lynx, fox, otter and beaver, depending on time of year and conditions. Calling coyotes and wolves is possible if the opportunity arises. There is a $1200.oo trophy fee for wolves. Travel is mainly by snow machine and truck. Furs harvested are available to take home with you at market value. Lodging is in a modern lodge with comfortable queen size beds, large bedrooms, full bathroom, shower and WiFi. Included in this donation are lodging, guide, field transportation, hearty home cooked meals, and non-alcoholic beverages. Not included are; tanning and shipping of skins, transportation from Edmonton to Whitecourt, Alberta and wolf, coyote license and wildlife certificate, (approximately $85). This trip is scheduled to take place Dec 1 to Feb 15 in the 2017-2018 season. Please see Trent in his booth for more information on this exciting adventure.
