The answer is simple, not a single feather, or any other part of a real Eagle was used in this ultra-realistic work of art. The re-creation comes with a numbered and registered Federal Eagle leg band certifying its authenticity as a re-creation as well as a document certifying it as a re-creation by Jim Day.
