B.S.A. Hunter bolt action rifle custom stocked by master gunsmith N. Hultgren for personal collection. This is one of 9 rifles sold by Little John’s approximately a decade ago for the Hultgren estate and nowre-consigned. The rifle measures 43” overall with a 25” barrel with a Pecar (Berlin-Germany) 6 x 59 scope. Shows B.S.A. short Mauser action and B.S.A. Birmingham barrel address. Finely stocked in lightcolored wood possibly cherry with raised carved oak leaf motif signed on left wrist area. The right side of the stock shows hand carved ebony and ivory inlay of leopard. Fancy geometric inlays and carved grip cap.Fine to excellent refurbished condition at the time of customization. Hultgren made a handful of rifles for display purposes and his personal collection. The carving and inlay work on this small group of high artarms is simply superb. Est.: $3000-$6000
