Description: Rio Ro Mo is a contiguous 21,000 acre private hunting & cattle ranch. The ranch is located in units 3 and 301 and is situated 15 miles west of Craig in northwest Colorado, 70 miles east of Utah and 35 miles south of Wyoming. It lies at 6,500 plus feet of elevation and the topography consists of large open areas with rolling hills filled with sagebrush. Large natural hay meadows and alfalfa fields are great attractions to big game. Juniper trees can be found at the higher areas of the ranch. There are numerous two-track roads for access and ATVs are allowed on the ranch.

This is a self guided hunt on a large private property with great antelope habitat. Meals, lodging, transportation, outfitting, guiding, trophy care, license and tag fees are the responsibility of the high bidder. The auction winner will skip the draw process (A-M-003-O1-R pronghorn tags took 13 preference points to draw in 2017) and receive a landowner voucher for the private land only hunt, A-M-003-P5-R and 21,000 acres of private property to hunt on. The auction winner will not have exclusive rights to hunt antelope on the property but the owners of Rio Ro Mo Ranch keep hunter numbers low to ensure a quality experience and good numbers of available game.

Self-contained camping is allowed in two designated sites on the ranch (the Beaver Pond and Gate 10) for a fee (owner’s discretion). There is electricity and a shower house available at one of the campsites. Campers will be allowed to arrive and setup their camps the morning prior to hunt. Camping is also allowed on nearby BLM land or motels are available in Craig, Colorado.

Ranch check-in is the day before the season starts, normally between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Maps and an overview of the ranch will be provided.
