From Kapriver, a FIVE (5) DAY BEAR HUNT for ONE (1) HUNTER. This 2x1 hunt will take place in one of three bear management areas in Kapuskasing, Ontario, covering a total of 3500 sq. km. The hunt will take place over bait with bow or rifle. The Kapuskasing area is famous for its huge bears - a bruising 714-pound bear was taken by a woman with a bow. The average bear weighs 200 – 500 pounds. Take your chance and wait for a unique color phase bear (cinnamon) to appear if you wish. This hunt can be taken (subject to availability) May 15th thru June 15th, 2019 or 2020. Additional hunters are encouraged at a cost of $2000 each. Groups of up to ten can be accommodated. You may also upgrade for waterfowl (duck and geese) and grouse or woodcock shooting for $500/shooter. Included: five (5) days guiding for one (1) hunter, trophy fee for one (1) bear, 5-bedroom lodge accommodations (comfortable beds, heated, full kitchen facilities to cook your own meals with food you purchase from grocery stores nearby (or take advantage of the numerous local restaurants). Not included: airfare, transfers ($500), upgrades, food and drink, transportation during the hunt (client must provide their own vehicle to and from hunting area), field and trophy prep, transportation to shipper, taxidermy, weapons permit ($25.00), bear tag ($350.00), tips and gratuities.
