Colt Model 1851 Navy percussion revolver, .36 caliber, 7.5” octagon barrel, blued and case hardened finish, fantastic original carved ivory grips with left side displaying a profile of Lola Montez or Saloon gal, S/N199453 (all matching visible numbers). This gun is in overall very good to near fine un-cleaned condition displaying considerable original blued finish on the barrel mixed with a pleasing patina, traces of originalcase colors on frame and loading lever, majority of original cylinder scene, crisp action, sharp markings and as mentioned before, finely raised carved ivory grips. Interestingly, on the inside back of the grip channel are inked or penciled a Delta sign followed by O R and also “V.R P. G”; may be researchable. (Antique). Est.: $5,000-$10,000.
