Colt Single Action .44-40 caliber with 7 ½” barrel reduced to 5 ½” with blade and post front sight type made by frontier gunsmiths like Fruend of Colorado and Hart of Tucson, S/N 71948 with 3 line patent dates. Allvisible matching serial numbers with no number on the cylinder. 20%-40% old of the period nickel finish that has lifted and cracked with the balance going to lightly polished gray patina on exposed metalsurfaces. A couple of screws replaced and back strap screw missing. Old handmade bone grips fitted to this back strap long ago (1 piece). Working well and fair bore. Has a good western frontier look. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
