Custom European rifle on a 98 Mauser style commercial action in 5.6 x 57mm signed “Herman Reute” in Tirol, S/N 2496 and dated 1957. 26” octagon breech to round barrel with raised and milled rib, oak leaf engravedaction with gilt trim, double set triggers with quick release floor plate, gold two letter cartouche “C-H” on the guard and engraved floorplate in classic Germanic motif with panel of squirrel. Beautiful burl woodstock with sleek lines. European master quality refinish probably by Pachmeyer in the 1960s to early 70s. Would cost $15,000-$20,000 to replace in Austria-Germany at today’s rates. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed.
