Colorado Has extremely complex license application rules and laws. Because of that and that I have gotten licenses her for the past 50 years we will apply for the license for you if you wish. We don't charge the $50-$100 for this service like others, we provide it at no charge with every hunt booked to again confirm that your hunt is a very enjoyable hunt. The incorrect license can be a very bad day. We want to send you home after you hunt with a elk and good memories from your hunt.

YOU ARE BIDDING ON JUST THE LODGING and you can hunt the public land or if you want to hunt the private land it is additional.
These items reflect the total price. When you win the auction you only pay 50% of the winning price via credit card. The balance of the hunt(The other 50%) isn't due until 45 days prior to your hunt. In most of my auctions as long as you pay the deposit we can move the hunt to 2018, 2019, or even 2020 if needed.
Of course if someone dies during this span of time or the outfitter out of business or any other unforeseen circumstances we will work with options with you.
This is a great hunt for 4 or more hunters. It is just one that you must do the math to see how good of a deal it is. The Lodging in this premium area, Highest Elk Density in the world, is only $1000 for and it can be divided by 4 or so people which is only $248 per night per person. So, for a 5-day hunt 4 people are only $1236 each for lodging for the whole 5-day hunt per person. That is, it if you want to hunt the large tracks of public land detailed below that are in this area. Keep in mind that the 2nd and 3rd season are 9-day seasons if you want to stay longer.
Now if you want to hunt the private land just across the river it is only
$ 1200 per person.
So, the total for a 5-day hunt with cabin and lodging and hunting private property is only $ 2236 which is very fair since the private land provides you access to some public land that is landlocked by other private land. Could be like hunting a honey hole.
Lodge in the heart of the Colorado’s Famous Elk Golden Triangle made for DIY/Semi-Guided Hunters dream. This Lodge hunt books so fast the only opening is the 3rd season. You can stay 5 days or all 9 days of the season it is your choice. The 3rd season is the best deer hunting in the bottom and up the sides for bigger deer. Third season or elk on the property is good but if the snow comes in it is great because you are in the migration corridor for the elk. Like any deer hunting the worse the weather the better the weather.
NOTE: CURRENTLY WE HAVE A NUMBER OF OPEN DATES/SEASONS FOR THIS HUNT, BUT BY THE TIME THIS AUCTION ENDS THEY WILL MOST LIKELY BE FILLED TO SOME DEGREE BECAUSE THIS HUNT USUALLY BOOKS UP BY THE END OF FEBRUARY. SO THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THIS WILL BE A 2019 OR 2020 HUNT.

Hunt the Williams Fork River bottom with a trespass fee, but it is not required and depending on the time of year and what you are hunting there are many more opportunities. The beautiful large Lodge all for just your Group $1000 per night for the whole group, Discounted down to only $ 495 per night for the whole Group.
Eight miles to the east is Indian Run State Wildlife area. There are great ATV Trails to take you up into the Indian Ridge State Wildlife Area and more. You would want to trailer your 4-wheeler to the area. For all public land ATV riding you will need a $ 15 state sticker.
This can be split by 4-6 people, with 6 that is only $82 per night per person!
The cabin sits on 120 acres of private land that is river bottom and scrub oak. There is a trespass fee of $1200 per hunter to hunt that. The private land on the north side of the river is GMU013 and it provides access to the 6 or so 1-mile blocks of landlocked BLM for hunting. ATV can’t be driven there except to take out game. There are a high number of public access areas around this location in every direction.
Third season is Bull elk over the counter and there are usually cow licenses available in the leftovers for the Lodge is in GMU012 and GMU013 is across the river. Most elk license are good for GMU011,012,013,23,024,025,026,033,034,131,211,231 for that area. It is a Huge are for hunting elk in the Famous Elk Triangle, between Craig, Meeker and Steamboat Springs. You are in the highest elk concentration area in the world.
For Mule Deer, the 2nd and 3rd season are drawable for GMU012 or a landowner voucher for GMU012, 013,023,024 with doe licenses left over each year.
If you are going to hunt deer I recommend paying the trespass fee and getting access to the private land since the deer are thicker as you get lower on the mountain. If you are hunting elk I would pay the trespass fee for the 3rd and 4th season because the elk come down into that area when the snow flies.
Otherwise I would use it as a home base and hunt all the public access opportunities within miles of the lodge. The 1200 square foot lodge is just for you and your group and it has a maximum capacity of 8 hunters,2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, 6 Sleeps.
Beautiful four-season log cabin on the historic Williams Fork River in Moffat County, Colorado. Property directly borders Big Game Management Units 12 and 13, prime hunting area. Outdoor opportunities abound in the area, including, but not limited to, hiking, fishing, golfing, white water rafting, tubing, hunting, motorcycle touring and winter activities with convenient access to the Flat Top Wilderness Area and Trapper's Lake, Dinosaur National Monument, Elk Head Reservoir, and Steamboat Springs, Colorado ('Ski Town, USA'). The Cabin is 60 miles west of Steamboat Springs, 15 miles south of Craig, and 70 miles north of Rifle, Colorado. Hand crafted log furnishings throughout the cabin with two wood burning fireplaces. Sleeps 4 to 6 persons comfortably. Open and spacious loft features a king size bed, bunk beds, comfortable sitting area and full bathroom. Main floor includes cozy bedroom with full size bed, full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen including gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, cookware and dishes, and dining area. Gas BBQ on lower porch.
In the lodge, there is a Washing Machine, Clothes Dryer, Fireplace, Dishwasher, Microwave Oven, Regular Oven, Toaster, Refrigerator, Stove, Coffee maker, Linens Provided, towels, Dishes and utensils are provided.
There are 3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 8, Bedroom 1 - 1 king, Size 1 bunk bed, Spacious loft with porch. Sleeps 4 comfortably. Bedroom 2 - 1 double, Cozy bedroom on first floor. Bedroom 3 - 1 double, Cozy loft accessible by ladder, sleeps 1 comfortably.

Once the 50% deposit is paid the Outfitter will call the hunter and confirm the hunt, he will answer any questions that the hunter may have. He will send him via email or Postal mail anything that is need. The outstanding balance is paid to the outfitter directly via check or money order no later than 45 days prior to the hunt.
