Fine quality London made spear point Bowie knife signed “Penn” circa about 1850 retaining its original scabbard. Illustrated in both Wilkerson’s book “Swords and Daggers” and “The London Knife Book” full page (Plate 49). Very good overall condition with almost fine condition blade showing most of its original polish and full dimensions. The blade measures 122” and 17” overall. The grip is European stag and the scabbard is nickelsilver mounted with large iron sword size cross guard. The scabbard is very good plus with minor cuffs and aging. A superior quality and early knife of generous proportions. Est.: $2500-$5000
