Tony Punch of Rata Maire Deer Lodge has donated a Four (4) day hunt for One (1) Hunter, (1) Non-Hunter to hunt for One (1) Trophy Red Stag (up to 350 SCI Score) on the North Island of New Zealand. This hunt is a 1×1 guided hunt and can be upgraded to larger Red Stag, Fallow Deer, Elk, Sika, Sambar, Rusa, Turkeys, Feral Goats, Rams, and Pigs. Tahr hunting can also be arranged. (See current price guide) Animals can be taken by rifle or bow. Schedule this hunt with outfitter for open dates March through July 2017 or 2018. The animals roam freely on this vast, private deer sanctuary. Hunting will take place under fair-chase conditions and a good level of personal fitness would add to the clients’ enjoyment of the hunt. The lodge is on New Zealand’s North Island in the tranquil and spectacular Retaruke River Valley. Included are lodge accommodations, meals, 1×1 guide service, trophy fees for stag up to 350 SCI, field prep and ground transportation during hunt. Additional hunters @ $500 per day and observers @ $200 per day may join and additional hunting days and game are available per outfitter’s current price list. Not included are any before/after hunt expenses, firearm permit ($25NZ), dipping/crating, shipping and gratuities. Arrival/departure point is Auckland, New Zealand then rent a car or charter a flight to hunt area. Arrange for gun permits by coordinating with outfitter and NZ police prior to arrival.
