O/U reproduction percussion rifle marked L. Day, approximately .52 caliber over .34 caliber. The rifle is in very good condition with 32” octagon barrels. The barrel and action retain the majority of their brownfinish. A full length cleaning rod is side mounted on the rifle. The rifle features the ability to rotate the barrel depending on your preference and has two sets of sights for the purpose. The smooth wood stock is in very good condition with extraordinary fiddle back walnut showing great grain and stylized cheek piece. The butt ends with a smooth metal crescent butt plate showing moderate rust due to poor storage. Thecraftsmanship evident on this older reproduction is amazing and would no doubt be prohibitively expensive to reproduce at today’s rates. Est.: $600-$1,200.
