Vienese flintlock fowler in 16GA smoothbore signed “Felix Meier Wien” on the lock and address “SigL” on the barrel and stamped cartouche. Mid-18th century plain brass mounts and appears to be period shortenedfrom full to half stock. Measures 55” overall with a 40” barrel and probably 6” longer when made. Good raised carving in scroll design at the front and rear of cheek piece area. The metal surfaces are lightly cleanedand polished with good edges maintained and good markings. Minor pitting around the firing area. Original flintlock with minor replacement screws and minor stock repairs with restorations. Horn tipped correct stylerammer included. (Antique) Est.: $1500-$3000
