"Waiting for Lunch!" Artist Proof #1
In the back of every north country hunter's mind is the fear of an unforeseen encounter with the unpredictable King OF THE WILDERNESS. The artist was being packed by horseback into a B.C. sheep camp in 2012 when their group was following a narrow creek bordered by very high willows. Following his guide, Dan, and several horses, Justin was enjoying the ride with a pleasant breeze blowing in my face, and the soothing sounds of the water bubbling over the rocks in the creek. Suddenly, without warning all the horses came stampeding back down the narrow trail. The assistant guide and the wrangler managed to stop the stampede. With the wind in our faces and the sounds of the creek, they had stumbled into a nightmare situation. Justin waited anxiously for Dan. Minutes seemed like hours. It was a full 15 minutes before Dan came out of the bush. He had ridden into within 15 yards of a very annoyed and angry grizzly, which had killed and buried an elk in the creek! The bear was guarding his kill and, yes, he was just " WAITING FOR LUNCH".
"WAITING FOR LUNCH!" is an original bronze sculpture fully donated to GOABC. It is 24"x18"x20” and weighs 50 lbs. and is ARTIST'S PROOF #1. It is Justin’s sincerest hope that this donation assists GOABC in its great conservation work!

Unless otherwise specified, the outfitter will be responsible for the care of the preliminary trophy preparation, salting and transportation of trophies and meat to the departure point, at no additional cost. Departure point is noted in each donation profile. The successful auction bidder will be responsible for all transportation costs and crating for the departure point to their home or taxidermist. Licenses, tags and other fees are at the expense of the successful bidder.
Upon receipt of certified funds, the outfitter will acquire licenses and tags prior to the hunt. In the hunt listings, you will see the from time to time the letters “TBA” which means “to be arranged” with the guide outfitter.
Successful bidders will be required to sign an insurance liability waiver form prior to taking their hunt or other wilderness trip. Al trips must be taken within the time specified. Any changes are at the sole discretion of the guide outfitter making the donation. All trips are for one person unless otherwise specified.
GOABC reserves the right to alter, delete or modify any of the items described in this profile. Final descriptions and lists of items will be available prior to the auction. Pictures shown depict the outfitters game where ever possible.
GOABC reserves the right of refusal on any trip that does not meet 50% of the market value.
