Fawnie Mountain has donated a 7 day black bear hunt for one hunter to be taken May 18-24th, 2020,
when the bears are fresh from hibernation, and the hides are excellent. Winning bidder must bring full paying hunter at cost of $4,500.
Hunts are conducted from our main Lodge at Laidman Lake British Columbia. Spring bear hunts may be combined with a wolf hunt for an additional fee.
Our area has a very high population of LARGE color phase black bears, because of excellent habitat and the fact that it is not over hunted. We mainly hunt them only two weeks in the Spring season when they are fresh out of hibernation and concentrated on feeding areas where they are relatively easy to find and stalk. The hides are excellent at that time, much better than coastal bears because of our colder winter temperatures. Success rates are very high during this time, averaging 170% for many years, because many hunters will shoot two bears. The hides range in size from 5 feet to 8 feet squared.
From our Lodge at Laidman Lake we drive old logging roads that lead through old logged areas that produce excellent feed for the bears. We are able to spot and stalk the bears without long hikes. Often we can glass them from a distance and judge their size.
Upon a successful hunt, our guides will prepare the hides for the taxidermist. Hides are stored in a refrigerated unit at Laidman Lake before they are driven to Prince George where they are delivered to a taxidermist. For hunters wishing to take bear meat, the meat can be stored at Laidman in our refrigerated unit and taken to out to our selected meat cutter in Prince George where clients can make arrangements directly with the meat cutter.
Weapon is bow or rifle. A second bear can be harvested for a $500.00 trophy fee.

SAFARI CLUB INTERNATIONAL – SOUTH FLORIDA CHAPTER (SCI-SFC)
The following provisions will apply to bidders participating in online bidding:
1. Winner’s credit card on file will charged the full amount for each successful bid. Winner will receive an immediate email acknowledgement at the conclusion of the bidding phase followed by a paid invoice once their payment has processed.
2. In the event the card is declined, SCI-SFC will make one attempt to contact the winner to obtain a new form of payment. If the bidder cannot be reached, SCI-SFC may, in its sole and absolute discretion, re-sell the affected item. Online bidders are encouraged to remain available via cell phone during the bidding process.
3. Online winners will be assessed a Buyer's Premium (5% or $250, whichever is less) on the total winning bid amount for each online purchase. The Buyer’s Premium will be included in the total charged for each item.
4. Online bidders agree not to use any device, software or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of any transaction being conducted during the online auction.
5. SCI-SFC reserves the right, for any reason, in its sole discretion, to terminate, change or suspend any aspect of the online auction.
6. If bidder dissatisfaction occurs with the online auction in any way, bidder’s only recourse is to immediately discontinue use of the online auction before items have been purchased.
7. SCI-SFC reserves the right to terminate bidder registration and use of the online auction, and impose limits on certain features of the online auction or restrict bidder access to, or use of, part or the entire online auction without notice or penalty.

SCI-SFC will not be responsible for error or failures to execute bids placed via the internet, including, without limitation, errors or failures caused by (i) a loss of connection on SCI-SFC`s or bidder`s end (ii) a breakdown or problems with the online bidding software and /or (iii) a breakdown or problems with a bidder`s internet connection, computer or system. SCI-SFC does not accept liability for failure to execute any online bid or for errors or omissions in connection therewith.
10. SCI-SFC may void any sale, temporarily suspend bidding and re-sell any goods that were affected by any malfunction.
11. CHARITABLE DEDUCTION QUALIFICATIONS
• SCI-SFC is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization and not listed as a charitable organization under the United States Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, in accordance with IRS regulations, no payments or donations made to the SCI-SFC for auction items would be tax deductible.

12. AUCTION CREDIT POLICY FOR SCI-SFC. Disputes regarding auction items purchased during the SCI-SFC Fundraiser, or at any other time, shall be submitted to the SCI-SFC Board in writing and shall detail the basis for the dispute and the grounds supporting a refund. The SCI-SFC Board may, in its sole and absolute discretion, approve an auction credit for the amount paid, deny relief, or, in extraordinary circumstances, approve a refund of the amount paid. Without limitation, credits or refunds will not be given if the auction winner is unable to utilize the purchased item in the time described in the auction description due to illness, work conflicts, personal or family conflicts or death(s), travel delays or cancellations or any other similar matters affecting the auction buyer that are outside of the control of SCI-SFC auction credit policy will not apply to any auction item for which the Donor and Buyer alter or vary the terms set forth for the item in the auction catalog or any other description of the auction item prepared and/or disseminated by SCI-SFC. If a refund or credit is approved by the SCI-SFC Board for any auction item the proceeds of which are to be paid to or split with any third party beneficiary, the refund or credit will not exceed the net amount allocable to SCI-SFC for such item. All credit or refund decisions are within the sole discretion of the Board of SCI-SFC and all Board decisions are final.
