CIVIL WAR CONFEDERATE GEORGIA PIKE.

Overall length: 97". Blade length: 12". A classic & recognizable Georgia pike as produced by several makers in the South during the Civil War years. The blade has a central medial ridge that flattens near the ricasso. Factory file marks can still be seen on the blade. The iron crossguard measures 3 3/4" & the ferrule below the crossguard is 1 1/4". The straps extend 16 1/2" down the length of the haft & each have 4 attaching nails. Full length, original oak haft w/ 1 1/4" iron collar at the base. A fine example of one of the most iconic weapons produced by the Confederacy during the War Between the States. CONDITION: pike shows light wear overall. The extreme tip of the blade is a bit flat. Iron has a rich patina. Side straps appear to have a black finish. Haft is straight & undamaged.
