Ross Lange Safaris based in Mpumalanga has generously donated a hunt for two hunters for our 2018 fundraiser. This hunt is either a rifle or bowhunting trip for two hunters over six hunting days with three trophies for each hunter with two travel days outside of the hunt. They are located about three hours NE from Johannesburg and has direct access to about 15,000 acres, and much more through partnerships. Part of the area has mountains, but the majority is bushveld and is one of the most geographically diverse and beautiful places in South Africa. Ross also hunts dangerous game such as Cape buffalo and elephant in the wild free range areas in the Klaserie, Timbavati and Umbabat Private Nature Reserves next to Kruger Park. These animals are on quota so be sure to plan for them.

The hunt includes the trophy fees for a Burchell zebra, warthog, and baboon for each hunter. Also, included in the package is accommodation, meals and non-alcoholic drinks, 2x1 PH, tracker, field prep of trophies, and transport of the trophies to Life Form Taxidermy in White River. Extra days or additional hunters are at the daily rate of $375 US per person (2x1), and $275 US per person for observers, plus 15% VAT.

Other costs incurred by the group are $400 US for round-trip transportation from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA), and the arrival day is at $375 US/hunter (no charge for departure day). Other costs are night hunting ($100 US /night/vehicle), 15% VAT on the donated day rate for the six days totalling $337 US per hunter, gratuities, taxidermy, dip and pack, shipping charges, and air travel to and from South Africa.

A non-refundable deposit of $1000 US ($500 US per hunter) is payable within sixty days from the date of purchase to confirm a booking, which will be deducted from the respective final bills on the conclusion of the safari. Booking dates will only be confirmed on receipt of payment. The hunt is available in either April through October 2018 or February through July 2019.

Hunters are required to harvest at least two additional animals each, with no minimum charge (5% discount on plains game only). This hunt cannot be stringed together with other donations, nor exchanged for cash, and the donated animals are not exchangeable.
