Oberndorf Mauser Model Gewehr 98 bolt action rifle, 8mm Mauser caliber, serial #5873. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 29” barrel. The barrel features a post front and curved military tangent style rearsights with a muzzle protector attached. The barrel and receiver retain a significant amount of their military finish showing wear, use and light surface rust. The front ring has been polished, is Oberndorf marked, hasseveral military proofs and is dated 1905. The smooth wood stock is in good condition showing moderate use with mars and compressions. The butt stock has a very sharp Mauser cartouche on the right side inaddition to other marks and ends with a smooth steel butt plate. The bore is fair, the action crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable pre- World War I Mauser. (C+R) Est.: $500-$1,000.

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed.
