Pair of cased flintlock dueling pistols signed “Grierson” maker to his majesty circa about 1800. The pair measures 15” overall with a 9” octagon barrels of .69 smoothbore with full stocks. Spurs on guards withcheckered grips showing fine quality. Both pistols are near fine with considerable original brown and case colors remaining, estimated at 50%-75% crisp and sharp overall with very good plus stocks. Originalflintlock parts and original ramrods with worms attached to remove balls. The pair are English partition style cased with green felt or baize interior. The case shows an extra compartment for another pistol (about 10 ½”overall) and an “L” shape compartment for a shoulder stock also missing. A mold and 2 rod handles along with 2 original compartment covers included. The interior is fair to good with minor holes, aging tatters and etc. The box measures 21 ½” by 10” bottom only. The exterior shows a carry handle and engraved “B.W.A.” on the plaque. The exterior of case is good with normal aging and minor imperfections. This maker though not well
