Smith & Wesson 2nd Model Hand Ejector Double Action Revolver, #30182, .44-40 cal., 5'' barrel, blue finish, factory diamond checkered walnut mismatched grips with bright S&W medallions, checkered case hardened hammer and smooth case hardened trigger. Shipped from the factory on Feb. 28, 1940, to J.L. Galef & Sons Inc., NYC, NY, with factory letter signed by S&W Historian Roy G. Jinks. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 96% factory blue with wear at muzzle, forward edges of cylinder, yet retaining a strong front and back strap. Thinning to top strap with several small scratches. Grips and action are excellent, bore is bright. Extremely scarce in these non-standard calibers. Est.: $2,000-$3,000. (C&R/PPT)
