SPECIAL NOTES: La Palmosa is located in Cuatrocienegas, Coahuila, a region historically known for having desert bighorns. After a catastrophic die-off, desert bighorns were reintroduced from Tiburon Island in 2004. The lodge opened in 2013 and offers a 100% fair chase hunt. The ranch is managed very conservatively to ensure the quality of its rams, and the results so far are truly incredible. The two winners of this unique tag have harvested a 189 2/8” dry B&C in 2016 and a 188 2/8” in October 2017. Other high scores from the past year include two 185” rams; the two highest scores in the previous year were 194” and 187” rams. The ranch will take care of all necessary tags as well as the CITES permit to import your trophy to the U.S. They will also assist with the paperwork to take your rifle into and out of Mexico or provide you with a rifle if you do not wish to take your own. This hunt is the equivalent of a Governor’s Tag, making it possible for the winner to come before all other hunters, allowing him/her to harvest the biggest ram our guides have spotted during off-season.
