ORIGINAL CONDITION. Cal. 10 Ga. (2 7/8"). S# 9493. Bbls.30" twist, are engraved “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.” on concave top rib. Top lever action is case hardened & fitted w/ front spring locks w/ serpentine hammers. Action & locks are line border engraved w/ Colt name on both sides. S# is on trigger guard tang. Rnd. knob buttstock of lightly figured American walnut measures 14 1/4" over steel buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip & a vacant silver oval is on toeline. Matching splinter forend w/ inlet ebony tip has Colt type Deely style release. MEASUREMENTS: bbls..; bore diameter: R .776, L .776. Restriction: R .008 (IC), L .011 (IC). Min. Wall Thickness: R .044, L .045. STOCK: LOP: 14 1/4", DAC: 2 3/8", DAH: 4". WEIGHT: 9 lbs. 12 oz. CONDITION: fine. Bbls. retain over 80% original brown w/ some scattered scratches & hand wear. Action retains approx. 20% original color. Lockplates retain over 80% of their color. Hammers somewhat silvered. Stocks retain most of what appears to be their original hand rubbed oil finish worn through at grip & on forend from normal hand wear. Checkering considerably worn.
