10 WWII HELMETS.
1) US M1. This helmet has a front seam & fixed bail. It has a standard green sanded finish. The liner is an early pressed fiberboard type Hawley. Chinstrap is complete. CONDITION: approx. 90% of the finish remains. Liner shows wear but is undamaged. Chinstrap shows light wear. 2) US M1. This helmet has a front seam & fixed bail. It has a standard green sanded finish w/ a standard issue WWII liner. Chinstrap is complete. CONDITION: approx. 80% of the finish remains. Liner shows wear but is complete & undamaged. Chinstrap shows light wear. Leather liner strap is 50% intact. 3) CIVIL DEFENSE. This is a fiberglass Civil Defense helmet or construction hardhat. Liner is complete. CONDITION: light wear overall. 4-5) 2 WWI STYLE DOUGHBOY. Both helmets have standard finish w/ full liners & complete chinstraps. CONDITION: both show moderate to heavy wear w/ notable oxidation. The liner on 1 is torn but complete. 6) GLIDER. A WWII British glider pilot helmet. Helmet has a fiberglass/composite body w/ a leather liner & ear flaps. CONDITION: helmet shows heavy wear & use overall w/ gouges to the top of the helmet. Leather liner appears complete but is very dirty & a bit dry. A very rare helmet. 7) FRENCH. An Adrian style helmet w/ a front badge that shows “RF” over a crescent denoting colonial troops. The finish of the helmet is blue/gray. No liner or chinstrap. Interior brackets are present. CONDITION: helmet body shows notable oxidation. Painted finish appears to be approx. 70% intact if cleaned. 8) FRENCH. An Adrian style helmet w/ a front badge that shows “RF” over a crescent denoting colonial troops. The finish of the helmet is blue/gray. Partial liner. No chinstrap. Interior brackets are present. CONDITION: helmet body shows severe oxidation. Painted finish appears to be approx. 30% intact. Liner is in poor condition. 9) FRENCH. An Adrian style helmet w/ no front badge. The finish of the helmet is field green. No liner or chinstrap. Interior brackets are present. CONDITION: helmet body shows severe oxidation. Painted finish appears to be approx. 15% intact. There are dents to the body. 10) FRENCH. A battlefield relic Adrian style helmet being the helmet shell only. CONDITION: relic condition, possibly excavated. (02-15052-4(10)/BF). $700-900.
