Colt Single Action Army revolver, 1st generation, .38-40 caliber with 7 ½” barrel, blue and case colored finish, period yellow stag grips, S/N 318307. (Collectors tag on guard reads “July 28,1911, blue, shipped Okla. City, Oklahoma.”) Not confirmed. 75%-85% original blue on the barrel and cylinder drifting at muzzle from carry in holster. Index line on the cylinder and loss of blue on the high points. 30%-50% case showing erosion and cleaning probably from holster also. The straps show 50% thinning blue at the gripping areas. The hammer shows like amount of case to the frame. Pristine interior and very bright bore. Tight action. The front sight is its full dimensions with feathering or polish around sight showing strong. The grips are well aged and of same era. Minor erosion and pinprick pitting. Once again likely holster damage and moisture. A nice 1st gen that may letter to OK. (C&R/PPT) Est.: $2750-$5500
