17ML-2 SAVAGE MDL 99 #416463Savage Model 99 lever action rifle, .250-3000 Savage caliber, Serial #416463. The rifle is in fine overall condition with a 24” barrel with a ramped blade front and adjustable rear sights. The barrel retainsthe majority of its blue finish with some losses at the muzzle. The receiver also retains a significant amount of its original blue with light surface erosion, high point edge wear and the brass round counter intact. The lever is beautifully case hardened. The checkered wood stock is in very good condition with small mars, compressions and a social security number etched behind the pistol grip. The butt ends with a Savagemarked textured steel butt plate. The bore is fair and may clean, the action crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable Model 99 manufactured in approximately 1946.
