18AP-26 SPRINGFIELD TACKEDCut down Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor single shot rifle, .45 caliber, Serial #NSNV. The rifle is in fair overall condition with a26” barrel with both front and rear sights removed. The metal surfaces have gone to adark brown patina. The side plate still reads US Springfield with the eagle. The smooth wood stock has been decorated with brass tacks and feather and horsehair ornamentation attached to the barrel band.
