18AP-37 TOWER PERCTower percussion musket with Snyder conversion, .60 caliber. The musket is in good overall condition with a 29” barrel with a post front and military style tangent sight missing its elevator. The barrel is an overall brown patina with light surface rust in areas. The side plate is marked Tower and dated 1868 with the crown depicted at the rear. The smooth wood stock shows heavy use with numerous mars and compressions. Theright side of the butt stock has, “MALO” carved into it and “VA” is carved into the left side.
