European officers type pistol converted from flintlock to percussion, originally made late 18th to early 19th century and converted about 1830’s to 1840’s. The pistol measures approximately 13.25” overall with a 7.25”octagon barrel showing a slight flare at the muzzle. The metal surfaces show a coating of light rust and patina with some scattered light to moderate pitting. The stock is near fine with just some minor scratches andhandling marks and most of its original finish. The brass mounts show a dark patina. The metal ramrod is an old replacement and the action is not quite working or holding on full cock. This pistol came originally from the estate of legendary performer Bob Hope where it sold in Little John’s Tribute to American Veterans Auction of June 29th and 30th, 2014; with Certificate of Authenticity indicating consignment at that time directlyfrom the Hope Family Trust. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
