18CA-348 H.W MORTIMER SIGNED PISTOLH.W. Mortimer signed officer’s pistol in approximately .64 caliber with 9” heavy octagon barrel and attached ramrod. Nicely converted from flintlock to percussion with engraved hammer. Signed on lock and barrelwith desirable legend “Maker to his Majesty”. The metal surfaces show gray to brown patina with minor pitting. The wood is good with minor age and imperfections but good checkering. Measures 14 ¾” overall. A stoutpistol of large size.
