18CE-1 COLT 1860 ARMYColt 1860 Army Revolver in .44 caliber percussion with 4 screw, martially inspection, S/N 7827. This fine Army remains in excellent original condition with 90%-95% original military style finish on the barrelwith slight loss at the high points and minimal aging. Shows correct “feathering” and polish. 90%-95% original scene with legible engagement dates on the front edge of the cylinder and retains 90%-95% original bluewith slight aging and minimal wear. 90%-95% plus case hardening on the frame, hammer, and rammer with slight scratches. The grip show a sharp cartouche and minor marks and are almost excellent. All matching visible serial numbers with bright bore and tight action. A fine and early Civil War era Army that would be difficult to improve upon. A 9.5 on a 1-10 scale. From a major Santa Barbara, California Colt collection.
