Remington Double Derringer in .41 rim fire with early side address and no extractor, S/N 241. The left side reads “Elliot’s patent Dec 12 1865”. The right side reads “E. Remington & Sons Ilion, N.Y.”. Less than 2000 Lot Title of the 1st type second variation estimated to have been produced. Fine original condition with 90%-95% original nickel showing very slight aging and loss. Very good plus to almost fine rosewood grips with Lot Title minor scratches and bruises on the right. Sharp and crisp with no defects to the hinge. One of the best known surviving examples of early type. Formerly in the Elliot Burka collection.
