US Springfield M1 Garand rifle, .30 caliber, Serial #3860558. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 24” barrel. The metal surfaces retain the majority of their original military finish with wear at the muzzle and areas of light surface erosion. The smooth wood stock is in good condition with mars and compressions consistent with service use. The barrel is marked, “SA” and dated 6-45. The butt stock has several light cartouches, with numbers engraved on top of the comb and on the right side of the butt. The butt stock includes sling swivels, an OD green canvas sling and ends with a checkered steel butt plate with trap. The bore is good, the action crisp and markings are sharp. Est.: $800-$1,600.
