Lee-Enfield SMLE No.1 Mk. III bolt action rifle, .30 caliber, Serial #A21375. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 25” barrel with a protected blade front and military tangent style rear sights. The metal surfaces retain the majority of their black military finish and the receiver is import marked, “INDIA N.I.L.L.C. W. HURLEY NY”. The smooth wood stock is in good condition with mars and dents from service use. There is an “S/A” cartouche on the butt stock and the number, “5” in white paint, perhaps a rack number. A detachable magazine has replaced the standard fixed magazine. The bore is good, the action is crisp and the markings are legible. The lot includes sling swivels and a period OD green canvas sling with brass hardware. Est.: $300-$600. (C+R).
