Winchester Model 1895 lever action saddle ring carbine, .30 Army caliber, Serial #89856. The carbine is in good overall condition with a 22” barrel with a ramped blade front and military style tangent rear sights. The barrel retains a significant amount of muted blue finish with the remainder going to a grey patina. The receiver shows traces of blue finish in the protected areas with the majority going to grey patina with some light surface erosion and pinprick pitting evident. The hammer has been bobbed during the period of use and the saddle ring is retained. The smooth wood stocks are in very good condition with small mars and compressions. The butt stock ends with a smooth steel butt plate with trap. The bore is only fair, the action crisp and markings are sharp. Est.: $500-$1,000. (C+R).
