US Springfield Armory Model 1903 A1 bolt action rifle, .30 caliber, Serial #1477947. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 24” barrel with a ramped blade front and military tangent style rear sights. The barrel retains a significant amount of its military finish and is marked, “SA” with the flaming bomb emblem and dated 3-39. The receiver has gone to a uniform grey with sharp markings. The smooth wood stock is in good condition with handling marks. There are two cartouches, a Circle P behind the trigger guard and “FJA” under the tang on the left side of the butt stock. The bore is good, the action is crisp and markings are sharp. Est.: $400-$800. (C+R).
