Marlin Model 1891 lever action rifle, side loading gate, .22 caliber, 24” octagon barrel, ¾ magazine, brown patina, wood stocks, S/N 53003; overall good condition with a dark brown patina to metal surfaces, good action, good markings, dark bore, good wood with some scattered old mars and scratches from storage and carry. Accompanied by a 1986 dated factory letter indicating “we are unable to furnish any specific information about your old Marlin. The old records are not complete, and in some cases, no details are listed for certain serial numbers. In your case Serial No. 53003 is shown among Model 1891 manufactured during 1891”. (Antique).
