Custom Pre-64 Winchester Model 70, #317292, .300 H& H cal, 26" barrel, deluxe engraved receiver , folding leaf sights with ramp front sight, highly figured flame walnut stock with rubber recoil pad. The receiver is magnificently engraved with 90% coverage, from the rear sight through the tang. The magazine plate depicts a mountain lion. According to the consignor, the gun was stocked and embellished at Hollywood Gun Shop, which is consistent with the high quality of the work. The finely checkered walnut stock shows exceptional grain and flame throughout the length of the stock, and shows only minor chips to the finish in the cheek piece. The forend and pistol grip feature beautiful burl wood. The toe has a minor chip in the finish near the Pachmayr rubber recoil pad. LOP is 13 1/2". Rifle is mounted with a Burris 6x scope on Buehler two piece mounts which are also engraved to match the rifle. The bore is very good, the action is crisp, and the markings are very sharp. The rifle is a great example of the quality of the workmanship done by the Hollywood Gun Shop many years ago. (Modern) Est. $2500-5000

Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance.
