Newly discovered Colt U.S. Model Single Action revolver in .45 Colt caliber with barrel reduced to 6” and all matching serial numbers 131920. R.A.C. inspection with excellent cartouched grips dated 1890. The barrel was shortened and original front sight carefully dove tailed in the barrel. 90%-95% plus bright original blue and fiery case hardening. The interior is excellent and the bore is bright. The action is working but not holding on full cock. “R.A.C.” marked and proofed barrel (cannot remove ejector hosing but fits like a glove and do not want to mar). Bright blue on the screws. With double loop holster it was carried in north of Sacrament in ranching area. Note: Serial number 131928 went to Cebu Police in Philippines also near Rough Rider and New York Militia arms listed in Kopec and Fenn book. Factory letter states; .45 caliber, barrel not listed, blue finish, stocks not listed, sold to U.S. Government, Delivered to inspector at Colt plant, April 30, 1890, 300 guns in shipment.
