Colt Single Action Army revolver in .45 L.C. Caliber with a 4 ¾” barrel, nickel finish, carved pearl steer head grip, factory engraved, shipped to Simmons Hardware Co, St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 3, 1889, 2 guns in shipment , S/N 130729. Features verified by factory letter except the barrel length not listed and stocks listed as “Rubber”. The grips were most likely dealer supplied and of same era and are a good fit. Good metal surfaces with patina finish and some traces of nickel where protected. The markings are slightly light. The front sight has been reduced very slightly. Good action and fair bore. The grips are very good plus with high carving. A good looking and classic engraved “Black Powder” single action of frontier era. Matching numbers. (Antique) Est.: $6,000-$12,000
