Colt Single Action Army revolver in .45 Colt caliber with a 4 ½” barrel, silver finish, ivory grips, factory engraved, Shipped to Norvell Shapleigh Hardware Co, St. Louis, Missouri, Dec. 22, 1908, 1 gun in shipment. Features verified by factory letter except stocks “Not listed”. Good traces of silver with natural patina and good markings that are only slightly light. The grips are cracked and aged with repairs and are undersized but of same era. The front sight has been slimmed and is reduced in height. All matching numbers. The bore is fair and the action is a bit “Loose”. Silver finish is desirable and a 1 gun in shipment denotes special order and perhaps recorded in newly discovered ledgers.
